"A Mother Named Death" is the third full-length album from Melancholic Metal band Evadne.
An eight-tracks album featuring some of the darkest and most unexpected songs the band has written, drawing inspiration from the deepest form of human despair.

This album gives shape to the most arcane fears of the human being and those intangible evils that torment mortals.

After the strong success of the previous album "The Shortest Way" (2012) supported by the mini-album "Dethroned Of Light" (2014), the musicians are back with their new full-length work.

The impeccable accuracy of the compositions together with the musicians skill give rise to an attractive melodic, atmospheric, soul-touching material.
Heavy guitars, keyboards, and growl performance in combination with parties of pure vocals, make the music of Evadne diverse, emotional and fascinating.

Well this is officially, by far the most beautiful album I've ever heard in doom metal. The drumming work is so original and innovative, especially in doom metal. The woodwinds and the violins are such a nice touch. The growls are so haunting. I love their transitions to the heavy instrumentation with the growls to the soft, melancholic clean passages. The clean voices are amazing and the melodies chosen in the voices are quite different and added a whole new emotion to the songs Andrew Derksen

Music is really good, the vocals go with what's being played. Slow and majestic. Goes into a bit harder towards the end and then brings back slow and majestic but with more volume. hitmobong
